The Department of Youth and Culture’s Annual National Youth Awards for Excellence in Personal Development, Leadership and Public Service is truly an awesome initiative. It is hard to believe that it was over four years ago that I collected a National Youth Award. Receiving the award for Outstanding Youth in Literary Arts at the first DYC youth award ceremony  was an honor. My writing contributions via  blog posts on My Anguilla Experience and for local and regional publications were celebrated . Read more about the first award ceremony here.  Congratulations to all winners over the past four years.
