I love conch.  I love Tasty’s restaurant creole conch dish. Therefore when I heard that Tasty’s restaurant was hosting an event called ‘Taste of Anguilla’ and that there would be three different types of conch, I knew I had to be there.

We arrived at the event around 6:30 and thankfully it was not very busy as I was famished. Morihinzi, a past queen contestant and a lovely young woman, was helping out at the event and she quickly came to assist us. I was not at all interested in the other items on the menu. ‘Point me to the conch’, I said. Sherise and I both got conch while Nash had the roasted fish. I was pleasantly surprised at the large portions and I enjoyed every bit of it. Sherise stole some conch off of my plate when I was not looking but there was more than enough to go around.

It was a low-key atmosphere with music and food and my new friend pictured below was swaying to the music throughout the evening. We spoke for a few minutes and she revealed that along with her husband and kids, they have been coming to Anguilla for 15 years. Even more interestingly, they come to Anguilla six times a year and one of those times is always around our summer festival. I could tell she loves Anguilla and we are happy to have her and her family come and visit so often.

I stopped to take a picture of Kenny the coconut man and when he saw the picture he said ‘ Wow, I look like a star.’ He certainly does! He is a lovely gentleman.

Dale Carty, the chef of Tasty’s of course took time out to speak to his guests and I had to grab a picture of him. I am sorry it came out blurry though.

Tasty’s Restaurant also made the list for restaurants to visit for our staymoon in Anguilla. Make Tasty’s restaurant a must visit when in Anguilla! Nash and I recommend it.
